Born Tuesday, November 16, 1926, he was the son of the late Jake Campbell and the late Nancy Vickery Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was a retired construction foreman for S.M. Lawrence Construction Company, former Dyer County Constable, former Dyer County Sheriff Department Deputy and United States Army Veteran.
Funeral services for Mr. Campbell will be 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Danny Klutts. Internment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife Juanita Campbell of Newbern, Tennessee; one son James "Jim" Campbell of Dumfries, Virginia and one daughter, Claudine Benitez of Newbern, Tennessee; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry Campbell, Ezra Campbell and Dee Campbell and one sister, Pearl McClanahan.
Pallbearers will be Simon Gabel, Charles Gabel,Chris Colvin, Larry Dunaway, David Allen and Tommy Ward..
The family ask that memorials be directed to the Newbern Library, 220 East Main Street, Newbern, Tennessee 38059.
