Wanda Mae (Woirhaye) Fields, 73, of Urich, Missouri died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri.

Wanda was born on September 17, 1940 in Clinton, Missouri to Gilbert Franklin Woirhaye and Lily Mae (Walker) Woirhaye. She attended White Oak Grade School and graduated from Clinton High School in 1958. She worked at Wetzel Hospital until April 1972 when she became employed as a medical coder for Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. She retired from GVMH in September 2002 in order to start her new job as babysitter for her two granddaughters.

On November 24, 1965 she married Everett Dale Fields at White Oak Church, Urich, Missouri. To this union one daughter was born, Charlotte Mae (Fields) Parks.

Wanda lived most of her life in the Urich area on the farm. She was a member of the White Oak Church. Wanda enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions, playing Bingo, mushroom hunting and coyote hunting (without a gun!). Her greatest enjoyment was helping look after her two granddaughters. She always looked forward to seeing them play softball, basketball, and volleyball. Grandma never missed a band or music program.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Vera Yvonne Zehnder of Independence, Missouri.

She is survived by her husband, Everett of the home, her daughter, Charlotte (Fields) Parks of Lowry City, Missouri, one brother, Marvin Woirhaye of Clinton, Missouri. She also leaves behind two beloved granddaughters, Angela Mae and Ashlyn Noriene Parks. Additionally, she leaves behind several brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nephews and nieces that called her "Aunt Wandie," cousins, and wonderful beloved friends.

Interment will be in White Oak Cemetery, Urich, Missouri.
