James Jewel Westmoreland , the son of Joseph Chafin Westmoreland and Lucy Monaghan Westmoreland , was born Sept. 7 , 1899 . He was listed with his parents as Jimmie in 1900 , James J. 1910 and James J. in 1920 . Also cemetery records gave this information " J. J. "Buck " Westmoreland ( Jimmy Jewel Westmoreland son of Joseph Chafin Westmoreland and Lucy Monaghan ) Sept. 7 , 1899 - Feb. 10 , 1947 ( wife not next to him ; md. Emma Kate Morgan , dau of William David Morgan and Sarah Elizabeth Stovall ... " In the 1930 census he was listed with his wife Emma who was the daughter of William David Morgan and Sarah Elizabeth Stovall Morgan, and also listed on that census was James and Emma's daughter Ruth listed as one year old . James J. Westmoreland died Feb. 10 , 1947 . His wife Emma as a widow later married Lloyd W. Davis and is buried beside her second husband in Unity Presbyterian Cemetery also . Emma is listed on her tombstone as Emma K. Davis Memorial page # 129997429 ( K.is for Kate her middle name ). Emma's Social Security Death Index record lists her as Emma M. Davis ( Emma's maiden name was Morgan ) . Emma's birth date on that record is given as October 22 , 1909 and death date as September 9 , 2001 .
