Mrs. Douglass died Sunday afternoon in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Angelina County and had resided in Lufkin all of her life. She was employed in the Engineering Dept. of Lufkin Industries for 35 years. Mrs. Douglass was a member of the First Christian Church of Lufkin.
Survivors include three sons, Donald, John B. and William B.; brother, Millard F. Wallace; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Mrs. Charlie Wallace. (Mrs. Douglass was pre-deceased by her sister, Mrs. Lee Zeagler.)
