William G. "Bill" Morningstar, age 94, died Friday morning, January 3, 2003 at his residence.


He was the husband of the late Margaret M. (Barnhart) Morningstar. Born December 1, 1908 in York, a son of the late William G. and Mary (Myers) Morningstar, he was retired from the U.S. Army, and was a self employed scrap dealer.


He was a member of the Yankee Athletic Association and the Ninth Ward Republican Club, and was a life member of the Viking Athletic Association.


Mr. Morningstar is survived by four grandchildren; one great-grandson; a brother, of Dover; and a sister, of York.


He was preceded in death by two sons, Donald L.


Morningstar and William A. Morningstar, Sr., and a sister, Mabel Kraft. Funeral services will be private.


Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Baumeister, Orcutt & Small Mortuaries, Inc., Roosevelt at Madison Avenue is in charge of arrangements.
