Eugene Cunningham, 92, of Findlay died at 1:30 AM Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born on March 29, 1922, in Findlay to the late Karl and Edna Mae (Egbert) Cunningham. He married Jeanie McNutt and they divorced; he then married Helen (Stewart) Warner and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Jill (Gary) Rauschenbach and Cathy (Tim) Toolan, both of Canton; step-children, Andrea (Ron)Chaffee of Bloomville; Brenda (Kevin) Roth of Mt. Blanchard; Clifford (Sharon) Warner of Tiffin and William (Beth) Warner of Findlay; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Goddard and Jane Little and a step-daughter, Darlene Myers. Eugene served his country in the US Marine Corps. during WWII where he earned the honor of a Purple Heart. He was a carpenter and also a custodian at the Findlay City Schools for 23 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the DAV. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Gordon Dickson officiating. Burial will follow in Farewall Retreat Cemetery, Republic where the Tiffin Honor Guard will present full military rites. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. In leiu of flowers memorials may be made the Salvation Army and online condolences may be expressed to the family via:www.coldrencrates.com.
