Mrs. Lillie Hamlin Aliff, 79, of 1513 King St, was dead on arrival at High Point Memorial Hospital yesterday at 5:30 p.m. Although she had been in declining health for several months, her death was unexpected. Mrs. Aliff was born April 24, 1881, in Montgomery County, VA, a daughter of Thomas Harvey and Nancy Catherine Barnett Hamlin. Her husband, Robert Joseph Aliff died Dec 22, 1955. She had been a resident of High Point since 1945, coming here from Bluefield, WV, and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. D. L. Snapp (Ada) of Rt. 2, Princeton, WV, and Mrs. Florence Wirt of Covington, VA, and one brother, Allen Hamlin of 306 Osborne St, High Point. Funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Southside Baptist Church by Rev. A. C. Moody, pastor. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
