Patricia Ann Hatfield, 76, entered Heaven's gates on April 9, 2014. She was born August 31, 1937 in Ohio County, KY to the late Ed and Mary Lewis. A loving wife, mother, grand mother, great grandmother and sister, Patricia was selfless in her dedication and unconditional love for her family. Over the years she enjoyed traveling, cooking, decorating, spending time with family and friends and shopping. Her friends and family could always count on her wit and sense of humor. Patricia retired from Texas Gas as an executive secretary. She was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church and had an unwavering faith in God. Over the years she was very involved with teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. Aside from her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Woodrow "George" Hatfield. Patricia is survived by her daughter Stephanie Horn and her husband Kevin, her son Eddie Hatfield and his wife Becky, all from Owensboro. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Christina Morris, Jennifer Hicks, Austin Rutledge, Jared Hatfield, Kyle Hatfield, and Laura Hayden; nine great grandchildren; and a sister Betty Jo Hunter of Dayton, Ohio. A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Haley McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with burial to follow in Richland Cemetery, McLean County. he family will receive friends after 10 a.m. the day of the funeral.
