Mr. Charles Mack Laster, 81, departed this life on Saturday, April 5, 2014. He was born on June 21, 1932, in Gautier to the late Charles and Margaret Laster. He was the oldest of 7 children. He attended school at Pascagoula Nergo High School and Magnolia High School of Moss Point, MS. He was a resident of Houston, TX, for over 40 years. He served in the United States Air Force. He was employed as an electrician and worked in the maintenance department at several apartments in Texas.

Charles was preceded in death by his father and mother, and one sister, Margaret Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memories; three sons, Norman (Michelle) Laster of Gulfport, MS, James (Shaunta) Laster of Houston, TX and Gary Laster of Pascagoula, MS; six daughters, Venus Laster of Pascagoula , MS, Sonya (Joseph) Nesbitt of Charleston, SC, Vanessa Wright of Jackson, MS, Tracy Duke of Houston , TX, Charlene Hoffmeister and Rochelle Ross both of New Orleans, LA; three sisters, Mary (Herman) Green of Gautier, MS, Dorothy Pittman of Ocean Springs, MS, Cynthia (John) Richards of Collins, MS; two brothers, Lawrence Laster of Sacramento, CA and Cyril (Jackie) Laster of New Orleans, LA; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at St. Stephen United Methodist Church, 2917 Chamberlain Rd, Gautier, MS 39553. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Services to begin promptly at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paula Milo-Moultrie, Pastor – officiating. Interment will be at Franklin Cemetery, Gautier, MS.
Arrangements entrusted to Turner's Gulf Funeral Services, 1809 Telephone Rd, Pascagoula, MS 39567.
