She also was preceded in death by one son, Patrick Maher, three brothers and one grandson.
Surviving are four sons, James Burke of Springfield, Mark Maher of Lacon, Robert Maher of Peoria and Steven Maher of Morton; one stepson, Larry Campbell of Crystal Lake; one daughter, Sharon Price of Centralia, Wash.; two brothers, Merle Vancil of Taylorville and Andrew Vancil of Mississippi; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
Services will be at 10 p.m. Saturday at her church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Shafer Funeral Home in Taylorville. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
