Darlene E. Wade, 75, of Independence, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the Mercy Hospital, Independnece, Kansas. Darlene was born in Muskaday, Wisconsin on July 20, 1930 to Lee and Mamie Lee (Skinner) Gillan. She came to Independence from Texas in 2003. She was a homemaker. She is survived by three sons, Gary Wade of LaPorte, Colorado, Richard and Ronald Wade both of Pinehurst, Texas; four daughters, Sherrie Wade of Independence, Kansas, Lorna Thornhill of Olathe, Kansas, Rhona Dennis of Cozy Home, Arkansas and Willa Wade of Diboll, Texas; two sisters, Shirley Havard of Livingston, Texas and Carol Parrish of Birch Tree, Missouri; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place with the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Webb Rodrick Chapel of Independence. No services are planned.
