Calvin Jacob Watkins Feb. 8, 1990 - April 6, 2014 NEW CARLISLE - Calvin Jacob Watkins, 24, of New Carlisle, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014, in New Carlisle. He was born on February 8, 1990, in LaPorte, to Mark Watkins and Lynn Chapman. He is survived by his parents, Mark J. (Theresa) Watkins and Lynn "Dede" Chapman; his sister and best friend, Joanna Singh; and by his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Betty Chapman, all of New Carlisle. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jacob and Jane Watkins, and by his niece and love of his life, Katrina Bella Louise Singh. Calvin worked as a journeyman heating and frost insulator for Local 75. A memorial service for Calvin will be held at 12 pm EST Saturday, April 12, 2014, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 10 to 12 am EST. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Carlisle Public Library, 408 S. Bray St., P.O. Box Q, New Carlisle, IN
