ALTON - Margaret E. "Peg" Smart, 61, died March 9, 2014 at a Bangor Hospital after a brief illness. She was born May 26, 1952, in Bangor, a daughter of Melvin Leahman and Ruth Pauline (Callahan) Smart.
Peg was a 1970 graduate of Old Town High School. She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. She owned the Map Store in Old Town for several years and really enjoyed working at Old Town Trading Post.
She is survived by sister, Nancy Parks and her husband, Michael, close friends, Dave, Sandy, and Nick Hanson.
Burial will be at the Alton Cemetery.
