Alma Nora Aldridge, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all went to Heaven to be with her family and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 24, 2011.

She was born to the late Earl and Hazel Vance Aldridge on March 20, 1936, in Avery County, NC. Also precededing her in death are three sisters, Earlene Hamer, Juanita Cook and Mildred Powell, two brothers, J.C. Aldridge and Billy Aldridge.

Those left to cherish her loving memory are six children, Douglas Aldridge, Rebecca Aldridge, Albert Hurt, Alvin Hurt & wife Sherry, Richard Hurt and Gray Hurt & wife Brandy, all of Morganton, NC; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; a brother, Ted Aldridge & wife Bessie, of Casar, NC; three sisters, Evelyn Austin & Husband, Harold, Margie Cobb & husband, Gilbert and Linnie Clark, all of Morganton, NC and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins & other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the Victory Chapel Baptist Church, Lost Corners Road, Morganton, with the Reverends Johnny McCarty and Dennis Aldridge officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the Church. Interment will follow at the Daniels Family Cemetery, Avery County, NC.
