Rodney Lynn Armstrong, 48, of Dyersburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at his residence.
He was a former employee of the tool crib department with Briggs & Stratton and a former employee of World Color Press. Rodney was a graduate of Dyersburg State Community College and was a Mason and Shriner with the Newbern Lodge.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Armstrong of Dyersburg; a son, Jacob Armstrong of Dyersburg; a daughter, Johni Brooke Armstrong of Dyersburg; two sisters, Peggy Armstrong Ashley and Brenda Hollingsworth, both of Dyersburg; and two brothers, G.P. "Pete" Armstrong of Tiptonville and Bill "Red" Armstrong of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, G.D. and Fern Anderson Armstrong.
Pallbearers will be Brian Rice, Don Grizzle, William Grissom, Terry Burns, Erik Larson and Jim Poe. Honorary pallbearer will be Larry Rhodes.
