She was born Mar. 5,1927 in Albany, KY a daughter of the late Lewis G. and Eva J. Pittman.
She was a New Castle resident most of her lfie and had worked 10 years for Western Electric in Indianapolis, and several years for the New Castle School Corporation. Mrs. Butler loved being a homemaker, and will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved all family activities, outdoors, gardening and taking walks.
Left to cherish her loving memory include 5 children, Keith (Phyllis) Butler of New Castle, Donnie (Karen) Butler of New Castle, Gary (Candi) Butler of Scottsdale, Ariz., Jimmie (Debbie) Butler of New Castle and Deborah Butler of New Castle; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and 3 step-grandchildren; 1 sister, Doris (Harold) Hall of Montgomery, TX; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Samuel Butler; 4 sisters, Anna, Louisa, Aileen and Lois; and 2 brothers, Joe and Gene.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 11,2014 at Macer-Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 12,2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Monte Vincent officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
