Mr. Baty was born July 7, 1951 in Lufkin, Texas and passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Baty had worked as a diesel mechanic for Hughes Trucking for more than 20 years, and had resided in Leggett for the past 25 years. He loved to hunt, fish, garden, and be outdoors. But most of all, he loved his family very much. Mr. Baty attended Leggett Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Edna Baty; children and their spouses, James O. Baty, Timothy and Kelly Baty, Amanda and John Barksdale, and DeeDee and Jerry Davis; grandchildren, Kara, Brittney, Shelby, Kristine, William, Krista, Daniel, Lynn, and Gracie; and great grandson, Brandon. He is also survived by his mother, Farah Baty; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Jesse Lopez, Crystal Calder, Wonda and David Massey, Jean and James Bennett, Doris and Larry Siegert, and Joyce and Thomas Watson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, William T. Baty, and a brother, Thomas Wayne Baty.
