Dixie L. Doty-Price, 70, of Underwood died Dec. 3 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.
She lived in the Council Bluffs area most of her life, and was born Sept. 16, 1934, in Tabor to Harry Doty Jr. and Maxine (Anderson) Doty.
Doty-Price worked as a homemaker and a restaurant cook. She was a member of First Christian Church and the PTA. She also volunteered at Chanticleer Theater and was a Girl Scout leader.
Survivors include her five daughters, Bobbi Hibbard of Omaha, Kimberly Schroder and husband, Todd, of Underwood, Rhonda Dittmer and Dawn Hough of Council Bluffs, and Amber Swanson and husband, Troy, of Neola.
Other survivors include seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, brother, Jack Doty of Council Bluffs, sisters, Marge Dofner and Jean Jones, both of Council Bluffs, plus nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Joe and Larry Doty, and her son-in-law, Larry Hough.
Her body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at First Christian Church with the Rev. David Erickson officiating. Visitation also will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be offered to the Underwood Fire Department.
