Jerry Dale Jennings, 70, of El Dorado, and formerly of Smackover, passed from this life on Monday, April 7, 2014, at Timberlane Health and Rehab Center in El Dorado.

Jerry was born Oct. 6, 1943, in Union County, to the late Robert L. Jennings and Lena (Blackwell) Jennings. Jerry formerly enjoyed fishing, squirrel hunting and especially deer hunting. He loved family gatherings, most of all for the food. Jerry loved to visit with people and could talk for hours. He was a fun-loving guy and a jokester.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, James Jennings and Robert (Bob) Jennings.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Rida Jennings of Woodland, Calif., and Jennifer Horn and her husband, Mike, of Fort Worth, Texas; one son, Jerry Dale Wolf of Kelso, Wash.; one grandson, Logan Horn of Fort Worth; one brother, Ed Jennings and his wife, Barbara, of Smackover; a step-daughter, Becky Geisel and her husband, Chris, of Arlington, Texas; a step-grandson, Bradlee Geisel of Arlington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. today at Bailey Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Stratton officiating. Burial will follow in Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado. The family will be at the Jennings Home, 501 E. 13th St. in Smackover.
