She was born July 24, 1919, in Lewistown, Mont., to Lee and Evangeline Ireland Day. She married George Johnson on Dec. 25, 1942, in Bellingham, Wash.
She graduated from Ferndale High School in 1937 and attended Western Washington University for one year.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jill Harris of Eugene and Janis Barsanti of Eureka, Calif.; a sister, Marjorie Alderson of Bellingham, Wash.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
