Floyd McAninch, 87, Hawarden, died Oct. 11 at a Hawarden nursing home.

Services were at 1:30 P.M., Oct. 14 at the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden. The Rev. Herbert Gould, pastor of the Hawarden United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mr. McAninch was born Feb. 29, 1888, near Hawarden. He married Olive Morgan June 21, 1906, in Hawarden. They lived in North Dakota until 1924 when they moved back to Hawarden.

He later married Florence Newman, April 19, 1932, in Hawarden. They moved to Oregon, where Mrs. McAninch died in 1966. Mr. McAninch moved back to Hawarden that year.

Survivors include a son, Lyle of Hawarden; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Peppers and Mrs. Irene Eilers, both of Hawarden; a stepson, Ellisworth McCullock of Garden Grove, Calif; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Helen Steindle of Portland, Ore.; four grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
