Theresa C. Lumbert, 79, of Sanford, died at her home on Monday, April 7, 2014.
Theresa was born on May 27, 1934 to Roland and Lucia (Foucault) Langlais in Sanford where she grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School in 1953. She was employed for many years at Garnsey Brothers Insurance Agency. After her retirement she went to work part-time at Hannaford in Sanford where she stayed for many years.
Theresa was an avid reader and enjoyed participating in her book club. She liked to attend shows at the Ogunquit Playhouse, go to the beach and was a member of the Sanford-Springvale Historical Society. She had a love for traveling and had visited many different places around the world. Theresa was an outgoing and friendly woman with many friends. She enjoyed going on family outings and spending time with her loved ones. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Theresa was predeceased by her husband, John Senior Lumbert.
Surviving are two children, Mark Lumbert of Texas and Crystal Phinney and her husband James of Sanford; a sister, Claire Beattie of Sanford; her long-time companion Harland Eastman of Springvale and several nieces and nephews.
At Theresa's request services will be private.
