PEORIA - Gloria J. McIntosh , 31, of 1610 S. Livingston died at 10:10 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2000, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 8, 1969, in Tunica, Miss., to Tommie and Ada Smith McIntosh .

Surviving are her father of St. Louis; one son, Kyle Bell of Cranston, R.I.; one daughter, Charlotte Bell of Cranston; five brothers, Eddie Smith and L.C. Thompson Jr., both of Peoria, Tommy McIntosh Jr. and Alfred McIntosh , both of St. Louis, and James McIntosh of Virginia; and three sisters, Martha (and Roosevelt) Henderson of Mission Hills, Calif., Lou Emma Hale of Milwaukee and Lynda McIntosh of Chatsworth, Calif.

Her mother and one brother preceded her in death.

She was a Navy veteran, serving as a dentalman.

She received her bachelor's degree from Bradley University School of Nursing in 1998.

She was a registered nurse at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center's intensive care unit and later at Snyder Village in Metamora.

She was a member of City of Refuge Worship Center and its Saturday Morning Prayer group. She also attended Bible study.

Services will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at City of Refuge Worship Center, where visitation will be one hour before. The Rev. Timothy Criss will officiate. A memorial service will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Simons Mortuary. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lutheran Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the Navy Reserves.

Family will receive friends at 1411 S. Westmoreland.

Memorials may be made to a fund for her children, in care of First Bank, 2232 SW Adams St., Peoria, IL 61602.
