Albert J. Potts; September 19, 1925 ~ April 7, 2014.

Albert J Potts, age 88, passed away on April 7, 2014 at his home in Upalco.

Al was born September 19, 1925 in Roosevelt to Percival and Novella Carrell Potts.

He married Wanda Arlene Snyder on December 31, 1945 in Woodland. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died December 15, 2011.

Al served in the army during WWII and was also a POW.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as a bishop, scout master, and a missionary in Argentina.

He taught school for 33 years and touched many lives.

He is survived by eight daughters and one son, DeAnn (Craig) Mitchell, Bonnie (Troy) Richardson, Jenece Lemon, Alene (Bryce) Gilbert, Terri (Jim Feiro) Lauchner, Tammy (Arnold) Remund, Bert (Tera) Potts, Maylene (Kevin) Rowley, Angalene (Don) Fauver, and a sister Joylene (Reed) Clayburn.

He was preceded in death by his wife Arlene, sister Vivian, and son-in-law Shawn Sutton.

Funeral services held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Altamont LDS Stake Center.

Viewings will be held on Friday evening at the church from 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m.

Burial in the Upalco Cemetery with military honors presented by the Altamont American Legion and the Utah National Guard.
