Jacob Michael Perry, 6-year-old son of Brian and Christina (Gardner) Perry of Kansas City, Kan., formerly of Oak Grove, Mo., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at Children's Mercy Hospital.
Jacob was born on June 4, 1999, in Kansas City, Mo. He was a kindergarten student at the Maranatha Academy of Shawnee, Kan. Jacob was a church member of The Rock of Kansas City.
His survivors include his parents, Brian and Christy Perry, and siblings, Joshua Perry, Tyler Perry, and Cayla McCallon, all of the home; paternal grandparents, Ken and Pat Perry of Blue Springs, Mo.; maternal grandparents, Jim and Melody Gardner of Parkville, Mo.; paternal great-grandmother, Grace Perry of Blue Springs; and maternal great-grandparents, Don and Betty Hardy of Lake Conroe, Texas.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at the Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, (816) 690-4441. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a memorial fund established for Maranatha Academy in Jacob's honor.
