Interment was in the Carty Cemetery.
Mrs. Baird was born November 2, 1929 in Franklin County to Joseph W. and Nellie A. (VanKirk) Brookshire. She married Donald Baird. Mrs. Baird died April 6, 2014 at the age of 84 years.
Survivors include her children, Dennis Baird and fiancée, Linda Martinez, Salem; Steve Baird and wife, Debbie, Lebanon; and Jeannie Werner and husband, Jim, Rolla; daughter-in-law, Debbie L. Baird; brothers, Paul Hernandez and wife, Velvet; and Wayne Hernandez, all of Matton, Ill.; sisters, Charlotte Fowler and husband, Lowell, Salem; Brenda Mesplay and husband, David, Columbia; Mary Hernandez, Matton; and Catherine Turner and husband, Daniel, Matton; grandchildren, Brandi Baird-Schloemer and husband, Brandon; Dawn Bell and husband, Dave; Brian Baird; Christopher Werner and fiancée, Stephanie; Elizabeth Baird; David Baird and wife, Shantelle; Rachelle Cheek and husband, Jansen; and John Baird; great-grandchildren, Morgan Bell, Lily Bell, Jackson Bell, Maxton Schloemer, Madden Schloemer, Aidan Werner, Brycen Scott, Lily Cheek and Sherri Baird; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
