George Eugene Rhoades, 84, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 4, 2014. George was born January 7, 1930 in Marion Indiana to the late George A. and Clara Belle Laymon Rhoades. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He attended Marion College where he met and then married the love of his life Eunice Marie Rahenkamp on June 2, 1957. They were married 27 years before she preceded him to heaven in 1984. George worked as a Mechanical Engineer for P.R.Mallory for many years prior to his retirement.

He is survived by his son, George Keith Rhoades of Indianapolis, IN; daughters, Judy Rohleder and husband Robert Rohleder of Cypress, TX and Debbie Epley and husband Kenton Epley of Inez, TX. He had eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at West Morris Street Free Methodist Church, Indianapolis, IN on Thursday April 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Iternment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to West Morris Street Free Methodist Church, 2302 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis, IN 46221.
