Steve Hill, age 66, of Sheboygan died on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Steve was born in Mobile, Alabama on August 24, 1947 son of the late Harold (Red) Hill and Evelyn Rogers Hill. He spent his early childhood growing up in Japan with his parents. He graduated from Dover High School in Delaware and after graduation he followed in his father's footsteps and served in the United States Air Force. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, he attended Northern Michigan University and received his degree as a Registered Nurse. On September 18th 1976, Steve married Sandra Coffey in Negaunee, Michigan. In 1978, he graduated from Mercy School of Anesthesia in Oshkosh and moved to Sheboygan Wisconsin. Steve worked for many years at several local hospitals. He also worked in Indiana and spent his final and favorite working years in Southern Illinois until his illness.After marrying Sandie (Coffey) Hill, he loved and cared for her two daughters like they were his own. Family was his number one passion in life. He always went above and beyond to show his love for them and denied them nothing. Steve was an incredibly hard working man and was the first one to offer help and support to his coworkers in their time of need.Steve loved to gather family and friends together to test out new recipes. It was not uncommon for these evenings to turn into nights to remember. As he often stated, "these are the moments that are ingrained into my memories." He enjoyed taking the family on vacations and experiencing new and exciting things in life.
Steve is survived by his wife, Sandra (Coffey) Hill of 38 years, son Steven Hill of Milwaukee, daughters Dana Hill of Sheboygan, Andrea (Jones) Triplett and husband Rickie of Wilkesboro, NC. and Kristine (Jones) Meyer and husband Mark of Sheboygan. Six grandchildren, Michael and Kevin Hill of Oconomowoc, Michelle (Triplett) Staley and husband Nathaniel of Wilkesboro NC, Jeremiah Triplett of Wilkesboro, Travis and Amanda Meyer of Sheboygan. One great grandchild, Ava Staley of Wilkesboro NC. A brother, Jerry and sister Sandra Fleming both of Delaware.
He was preceded in death by both his father and mother.
