"OAKLAND, Calif. - Jeffrey Wayne Douglas, 31, formerly of Akron, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Thursday p.m. He was born in Akron and lived here most of his life. He had lived in California for four years. He was a staff clerk for Pacific Telephone Co., and he did volunteer work with the refugee people and Cambodia boat people. He formerly worked as a social worker in New Jersey. He graduated from Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and attended Moody Bible Institute. He was a member of the San Leandro Alliance Church. He was preceded in death by father, Jonethan. He was the precious son of Ethel; beloved brother... He is also survived by grandmother, Macil Neff; and nephew... Funeral services from Rolling Acres Alliance Church, 2500 Kingsport Way, Tuesday, 1 p.m., Rev. John A. Temple officiating. Interment East Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday."
