Michael served as a Technician Fifth Grade, 397th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on January 12, 1942 at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the manufacture of boots and shoes and also as Single, without dependents.

Michael was "Killed In Action" in the D-Day invasion of France during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
