He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Reformed Church at Cavetown.
Surviving are the following sons, Arthur J. and Maurice C., of Hagerstown; Ray E., Washington, DC; Keller H., Leitersburg; George C. Plevena, Mont.; and Richard E., at home. He also leaves 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Clinton W., Hagerstown.
Funeral services were held at the home; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
