Dick went to his Heavenly home on March 30, 2014 at Saginaw Senior Care in Saginaw. He was born October 3, 1934 in Pigeon, Michigan to James and Hazel (Horn) Ellis. Dick lived all his life in the St. Charles area and had many friends there. He especially enjoyed doing jig-saw puzzles and going to Tony's Restaurant for breakfast most mornings with his friends.
Surviving are four sisters, Ann Bush of Saginaw, Jeanne (Bill) Tilghman of Pennsylvania, Virginia (Ted) Berg and Nancy "Pat" Ellis all from California; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded by three brothers, Dean, Lloyd and Keith "Bill" and sister, Hazel Adams.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles. Rev. Ernesto Mariona will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
