Patricia A. (Darden) Davis-McSwain, 58, of Sandusky, passed away early Friday morning, April 4, 2014, following a lengthy illness.
Patricia was born July 8, 1955, in Decatur, Ala., to Benjamin Darden Sr. and Georgia Mae (Stewart) Darden-Burns.
Patricia was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed dancing, singing, babysitting, barbecuing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Patricia is survived by her son, Jason (Meg) Darden; her daughters, JaNay Darden and Jawon (Eddie Johnson) Davis; 14 grandchildren, Cortez, Dominique, Areshia, Simajaone (Ph`ness), Emani, R'mani, Mya, Phabbri, Dominique, Tre`, Brieanne, Jurne`, Lauren, and Kylan; three great-grandchildren, Imani, Marlon Jr., and Niko; sisters, Denise Robinson, Yvette Darden and Debra Darden Nelson of Dallas; brothers, Alphonso (Patrice) Darden, Benjamin Darden Jr. and Michael (Jacqueline) Darden of Tampa, Fla.; Aunt Bernice of Decatur, Ala.; and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her grandmother, Magnolia Sizemore; grandfather, Frank Stewart; and her brother, Frank Darden.
Friends may call from 11 a.m Thursday, April 10, until funeral services at 1 p.m., at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1920 Eddie Henry Way, Sandusky, with Pastor Scottie Aaron and Pastor Curtis Johnson Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
