OBITUARY
Carthage Replublican, 18 Dec 1895

PONTOOSUC
Died, Thursday Dec. 5th, Mrs. Caroline Congrove, in the 48th year of her age. Caroline Harper was born in Vinton Co., Ohio, Jan 27th 1847 and united with H. V. Congrove in the hold bond of matrimony Oct. 10th, 1887.

She leaves a family of five children, two sons and three daughters, who with the sorrowing husband deeply mourn her loss. But what is their temporary loss is her eternal gain of heaven. The deceased has been a patient sufferer for many years but by the help of God in whom she fully trusted she has borne her cross patiently and uncomplainingly, clinging ever to the motto, Thy will be done. The sorrowing mourners have the heartfelt sympathy of the many friends in their bereavement. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
