Crystal D. Burgess, 87, Albany, died Thursday afternoon at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. Born in Delaware County on June 30, 1920, she was the daughter of Arle and Alpha Gray. A former resident of Dunkirk, she attended Dunkirk High School and was a supervisor at Indiana Glass Co., Dunkirk, where she worked for 32 years before her retirement. She was married to Minor Burgess in 1938. He is deceased. An active Lady Lion in the Dunkirk Lions Club, she had attended the E.U.B. Church, now Calvary United Methodist Church, in Dunkirk. Surviving are two daughters, Toni D. Sharp, Albany, and Gayle E. Jackson, Noblesville; a brother, Art Gray, Selma; three granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Redkey. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
