Daughter of Hamilton and Sarah Nail Switzer, she was widowed, a seamstress, lived at 1320 1/2 New St, Franklin, died at 1324 Eagle Street, Franklin, of hypostatic pneumonia, cerebral thrombosis, and cerebral arteriosclerosis, per death certificate 39216, whose informant was George C. Corbett of 1324 Eagle Street. Buried Apr 28 1953.

Per Pennsylvania Marriage License, on May 20 1897 in Clarion, PA, Amanda J. Switzer of Piney Twp, Clarion Co, houseworker, 19, daughter of Willian and Sarah Switzer, married John L. Corbett of Toby Twp, Clarion Co, farmer, 29, son of William and Nancy Corbett; first marriage for both.

Mrs. Amanda J. Corbett, 74, of 1320 1/2 New Street, died at 12:45 pm Saturday at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George C. Corbett, 1324 Eagle Street, following an extended illness. Daughter of Hamilton and Sarah Nail Switzer, she was born June 4, 1878 at Rimersburg, Clarion County.

She lived in Franklin more than 35 years, 17 of which she was the seamstress at Printz Co. store, until ill health caused her to retire last October. She was a member of Cherry Run Methodist Church near Rimersburg. She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Franklin Aerie 328, Fraternal Order of Eagles; a member of Daughters of Union Veterans; and the Pocahontas Club.

In 1896 she married John L. Corbett, who died June 16, 1936.

Surviving are a son, George C. Corbett, Franklin; two grandchildren, Rev. Warren G. Corbett, Sandy Lake, and William C. Corbett, Franklin; three great-grandchildren, Betty Louise, Warren Lee and William Larry; and a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Young, Emlenton.

Services will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday at Barron Chapel with Rev. Warren G. Corbett of Penn-Alpha Larger Parish, Sandy Lake, and Rev. Dale K. Milligan of First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
