Son of the late Hubert and Meddie Richardson, he was a graduate of Dover High School (1952). He was survived by his wife, Iris Bland Richardson; daughter, Allison Morris (Terry); grandson, Justin Morris; sister, Peggie Grady (Bert); andd an extended family of relatives and friends. He was a Master Mason of Ionic Lodge #583, Cove City. He was retired from E.I. Dupont. He was a member of the Vanceboro Rescue Squad and served as president. He enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of Vanceboro United Methodist Church where his funeral was held on April 1, 2014, with The Rev. Adolph Smith officiating.
