SLUSHER, James A. 68, of Springfield, passed away at home on Saturday, January 22, 2005. He was born December 19, 1936 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Lawrence and Nell (McCreary) Slusher. He is survived by his wife, Sharon E. (Johnson) Slusher; two sisters, Philinda Jeanne (Collins) and Rebecca (Compton); one brother, Larry (Butch); brother-in-law, W. Ron Clark; daughter, Kristin (Brooks); and two grandchildren, Emerson and Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Nancy (Clark). Jim was a graduate of Tecumseh High School and was a member of their first football team. He received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Wittenberg University. An employee of Springfield City School System for 36 years, he retired as Assistant Superintendent of Business Affairs. He served as a board member for Mental Health Services of Clark County, Springfield Education Credit Union, and The Forge Condominium Association. Jim was also a member of St. Andrew's Masonic Lodge, Mad River Valley Country Antique Study Club, The Bucky Beavers, and a charter member of Faith in Christ Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Faith in Christ Lutheran Church in Northridge. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith in Christ Lutheran Church or an agency of your choice. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
