Linda Michelin ‘Driskill' Hancock
On the 6th day of April 2013, the astounding, lovely Linda Michelin Hancock, born Feb. 20, 1952, left this world to take her place in Heaven with her eldest son Rhett Franklin Hancock and her parents Ethel and Frank Driskill.
She is survived by her sister Barbara, brothers Dale and Wesley, daughters Keely and Chelsea, son Gavin, four grandchildren Jacob, Jillian, Kaitlynn and Kamden; as well as her acquired grandchildren Claire, Emilee, Brock and Ian who will all miss her dearly.
She was raised in Alamogordo since the age of 5 and graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1970. After a short time traveling to different cities and states, she returned to raise her own children in this small town. Among her many talents and tributes was being a magnificent, loving, God-fearing and devoted mother, lover of life and friend to all.
She devoted her entire life to her children, family and all those who she met. Her favorite pastime was finding treasures at thrift stores to share with everyone. If you came to visit her home, you did not leave without a gift given with love from Linda.
She passed away peacefully with her daughters and son-in-law-to-be, Greg Redman, at her side due to the rare condition know as Wegener's Disease.
Her many dedicated friends and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Bethel Baptist Church, 1316 Scenic Dr., Alamogordo, NM, 88310.
Condolences also may be left by mail at 2412 Princeton Ave. Alamogordo NM 99310 or by phone at 575-437-0122.
Thank you to everyone who enriched her and her family's lives as we hope she and they have enriched yours.
