Mr. Eye who wrote the Simmons family history states that Noah Pinckney married Julia Shaffier (1861-1927) on June 25, 1906. He married in 1928 to Hannah Ryder.

Noah Pinckney Simmons, 84, of Mustoe died Thursday, March 3 in a Staunton hospital. . Mr. Simmons was a native of Sugar Grove, W. Va.. and was born Nov. 12, 1881. His only survivors are a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held Saturday at 11 a.m. from Victory Chapel Advent Christian Church at Mustoe by the Rev. Wendell K. Dubois. Burial was in the Gardner family cemetery at Mustoe with Obaugh Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Obituary for Hanna Simmons
Mrs Hannah Ryder Simmons of Mustoe died Wednesday, September 26, after a lingering illness. The funeral was conducted Friday afternoon the 28th at the church by her pastor and burial was in the Gardner cemetery near the church. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Pink Simmons, and three children by her first husband, Charlie and Henry Ryder of Hot Springs and Mrs. Gladys Lance of Covington, and by several grandchildren.
