OBITUARY: Funeral services were held at the Liberty Christian church today (Wednesday) for George William Ramsey, age 71, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Esta Underwood, at Bedford Sunday night after an illness of nine months. Burial in the adjoining cemetery. He was born June 16, 1866, and was twice married. His first marriage was to Elvera Edwards September 4, 1889, in Jackson County, who preceded him in death January 29, 1912. His second marriage was with Matilda Aynes in 1916, also in Jackson County, and she died in 1924. He is survived by five other children, Marshall and Ralph of Oolitic; Everett, of Bloomington; Charles of Bedford; Ernest, of Indianapolis; twenty-nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
