GEORGIA M. MILES, 85 ROCKFORD - Georgia M. Miles, 85, died after a long battle with Parkinson's disease, Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, in her home with her loving family by her side. Born June 6, 1922, in Avon, Wis., just outside of Brodhead, the daughter of Walton and Katherine (Keller) Greene. She graduated from Brodhead High School. Married Everett "George" Miles in Dubuque, Iowa, on Nov. 29, 1940. She lived in Rockford for more than 60 years. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and a member and past officer of the Rebekah's-Odd Fellows. She is survived by six children and their spouses, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husband, George; parents; daughter, Patricia Wurm; granddaughter, Maureen Erickson; sister, Ora Belle; and brother, Chester. Service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, in Sunset Funeral Home, with visitation from 12:30 p.m. to time of service. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
