Well-known Victorian landscape painter, and a member of the Williams family of painters. He was born Sidney Richard Williams, but he changed his surname to Percy to protect the integrity of his art by avoiding confusion with his father and brothers. His works hang in many museums, including the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Tate Gallery in London.
