Mrs. Judy Hanson Langsdon Gregory, 75, resident of Clarksville and native of Maury County, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Vann officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at a later date.
The family suggests memorials to the Nashville Rescue Mission, 639 Lafayette Street, Nashville, TN 37203 or Second Harvest Food Bank, 1601 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, TN 37210. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Hazel Hanson and Elaine Barran Hanson. Mrs. Gregory earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and was formerly an Adjunct Professor of Writing at Columbia State Community College. She earned her Master's Degree in Government and Public Administration from George Washington University. She was a former Community Development Director for Maury County Government and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Clarksville.
Survivors include her husband, Don Gregory of Clarksville, whom she married May 1, 2011; daughter, Karen (Wayne) Paris of Franklin; son, Bruce (Leslie) Langsdon of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; sister, Sarah (Raymond) Anderson of Columbia; Fred (Kathleen) Hanson of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Casey (Ashley) Paris of Chapel Hill, Zac Paris of Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Hanson and Jimmy Hanson.
