"Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Pape Memorial Home for Mrs. Elsie McGregor, 105, who died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday at Danville Care Nursing Home, where she had been a patient for six years. She had previously lived at the Hotel Wolford, and before that at 1127 N. Logan.
The Rev. Dr. Richard Newhall will officiate, with burial in Oakridge Cemetery in Catlin. There will be no formal visitation, although friends may call at their convenience Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McGregor was born April 4, 1866, in Catlin, the daughter of George Wilse and Elizabeth Albright Tilton. She married Albert P. McGregor June 17, 1886. He preceded her in death April 1, 1936.
She attended Catlin schools and after graduating from Catlin High School. She attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Music was her life interest. She was a member of the local orchestra, and taught violin and piano. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and the Women's Fellowship of the church.
Survivors include three nieces, Mrs. Nina V. Reese and Mrs. Julia E. Cast, both of Danville, and Mrs. Edith T. Aitken of Des Moines, Iowa; and two nephews, Claude E. Tilton of Danville and Kemp R.
