Mrs. Elsie Mae Reese
Following an illness of many weeks, Mrs. Elsie Mae Reese died at 1:20 p.m. yesterday at her home, 119 South Pattison street. Death was due to a complication of diseases. She was 55 years old. A daughter of Mrs. Matilda Lark Reese and the late Harry A. Reese, Mrs. Reese was born in this city. She was a member of the Bethany Moravian church and a teacher of the Girls' class in the Sunday school. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Francis Fidler and Mrs. Gladys M. Witmer, both of York; two sons, William M. and James E. Sprenkle, this city; her mother, Mrs. Matilda Reese, York, and these brothers and sisters: Emory Reese, Mrs. Evelyn Nye and Mrs. Jacob King, all of York; Steward Reese, Conewago Heights; Harry S. Reese, El Segundor [sic], Cal.; Edward Reese, Bridgeport, Conn.; Samuel Reese, Strinestown; Mrs. Herman Potts, Kingsport, Tenn.; Paul Reese, Brownsville, Pa., and Roy Reese, York.
