Thomas Elbert Spicer passed away April 4, 2014 at Willowbrook Nursing Center.
Mr. Spicer was born March 13, 1915 in Wilkes County to Alfred and Callie Letten Spicer.
He was a founding member of Benham Ruritan Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Spicer; son, James Thomas Spicer; daughter-in-law Carol Spicer; sisters, Ruby Tharpe, Mary Thompson and Mamie Couch; half- brothers, Nick Sawyer, Carl Sawyer, and Claude Sawyer.
Survivors include his daughter, Sarah Gray (John); brothers, Bramlet Spicer (Sarah) and Lonnie Spicer (Bea); three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
