Marcus Ray Smith, age 87 of Gallatin, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014. Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 8th at Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Brother Forrest Creekmore officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, April 7th from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 8th from 9:30 a.m. until time to leave for the cemetery. Mr. Smith was born March 14, 1927 in Wilson County, TN, son of the late Marcus Roy Smith and Lena Belle Moss Smith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by grandson, Chris Gregory; two brothers and six sisters.
Mr. Smith served in the U. S. Army during WWII and was a painter for Harold W. Moore & Son
