Troy Elmer Gregory died Thursday, May 16, 1991 in Stockhoff Nursing Home at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 16 days. He was a farmer and an employee of Missouri Natural Gas Company.
Funeral services were held May 19 at the Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Braddy officiating. Burial was in Marcus Memorial Park. Pallbearers were James Priday, Tom Priday, Ozzie Gregory,Gene Wilson, Junior Wilson, Scott Stevens, and Bob Pogue.
He was born June 2, 1901 in Saco, Missouri, son of John Francis Gregory and Artimissa Gunter Gregory, both deceased. His first marriage was to Golda Mae Wilson, July 26 1924, the second to Mary Martin October 8, 1978. They are both deceased.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Alan Gregory and wife Elizabeth of St Charles and a daughter, Wilma Mae Worley and husband Ashe of Maryland Heights; sister, Edna Jane Erwin and Robert of Fredericktown, and granddaughter Holly Lynn Gregory of St Charles. Others also include one sister-in-law, Norma Pippin Gregory; one step-daughter, Ester Pense; one step-son, Marvin Martin; grandchildren of Mary martin Gregory Larry Pense, David Pense, Erik Martin and Cody Boyd, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by a son, Winford Lee Gregory; brothers Oscar Cleveland Gregory, William Arvel Gregory, Truman Francis Gregory, and Oliver Lee Gregory; two sisters-in-law, Mary Stacy Gregory and Verna LaPlant Gregory.
He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Fredericktown.
