Marriage of Adolph Rusch/Laura Reinke
Reedsville Items
Friday evening at 8 o'clock at the parsonage of the Evangelical Zion church the
solemn words of the marriage ties were pronounced binding in matrimony Miss Laura
Reinke of Rockland and Adolph Rusch of Reedsville. Mrs. Schneller had decorated
the home for the happy occasion with flowers and paintings, making it a pleasant
scene for the happy event. Before the tying of the nuptial knot, Rev. Schneller
read of Ephecians 5 v. 22-23 and Proverbs 31 v 10-12, especially laying emphasis
on the words, "Love, love to God and towards each other", after which the solemn
words spoken binding the two for life. The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Reinke of Rockland, was attired in pink silk trimmed with lace and pearl trimmings
and also wore a becoming wreath and veil. The groom wore a navy blue suit. He was
assisted by Edward Reinke, a brother of the bride who acted as best man. Miss
Pauline Fischer gowned in white embroidery dress was maid of honor. After the
ceremony the wedding guests partook of a wedding supper at the bride's home. The
happy couple will reside on the groom's farm a short distance from this village
where they will be at home to their friends. Good wishes of friends are extended
for happy wedded life.
